- Opening a telecommunications forum, 6 September. Interesting situation happening with the sleeve cuffs there.
- a) Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Expansion newspaper, 8 September. Lovely Adolfo Dominquez dress (b), lovely hair (c). If she'd added a bracelet or a little larger earring it would have been an A+, but you know me. I could say that about almost any outfit, any time.

Week in Review: Princess Letizia, 31 July - 6 August
Here's what Letizia wore from 31 July - 6 August:
- Attending the Copa del Rey Audi Mapfre Sailing Cup in Palma de Mallorca, 2 August. That is one short dress, friends! She's had at least one infamous upskirt moment in the past...so I suppose she knows best about threats to her modesty and such...but, you know.
- At a concert, 2 August. At first glance, I thought she'd opted for wearing scarves on her shirt print instead of actual scarves. You know, for a summer switch-up. But I think it's actually jellyfish or something like that. Anyway, I like her fancy magenta trousers.
- Shopping in Palma de Mallorca, 4 August.
- Attending a dinner for the 30th anniversary of the Copa del Rey, 4 August. Here again, I got it wrong on first viewing: totally looked like a long shirt over a short skirt. But once I cleared my eyes and saw that it was a dress, I decided that I'm on board.
- At the royal family's traditional summer dinner at Almudaina Palace, 5 August. I am on the record as a staunch jumpsuit/romper-hater, and this certainly isn't going to change my mind. Here's my rule: if it looks like it came from the Juicy Couture summer collection, leave it out of the official realm.
- Dining with the whole family, 6 August.
- At the Palma Nautic Club, 6 August. A perfect outfit for visiting one's husband on the sailboat. (Also the perfect outfit for making me jealous of those can wear all white and not get dirty 5 seconds after putting it on, but that's a whole different issue.)

Week in Review: Princess Letizia, 17-23 July
Here's what Letizia wore from 17-23 July:
- a) Meeting with directors of the Cervantes Institute, 20 July. I feel like I shouldn't like this, but I do. Maybe I'm too swayed by the accessories, as I'm coveting that clutch (b), and the Pretty Ballerinas shoes are sparkly! (Sparkly with Swarovski crystals and a hefty price tag, mind you.)
- a) and b) Attending audiences at Zarzuela Palace, 21 July. I only like this one from the back. Too bad most business requires a face to complete.

Week in Review: Princess Letizia, 10-16 April
Here's what Letizia wore from 10-16 April:
And we can't forget about Queen Rania:
I'm in from the knees to the shoulders. Don't get the opaque stockings or the two-tone pinkish shoes, and am terribly distracted by the hair. Not as sleek as usual for Rania, but very much a modern Queen, and that's a fact I can't complain about.

- Arriving in Jerusalem at the start of an official visit to Israel and Palestine, 11 April. I'm torn. Two things I love: a crisp and professional white suit, and hot shoes. But...they don't go together. The suit's better for the occasion...but you know how I feel about shoes. Oh, conflict.
- At the welcome reception on the evening of Day 1, 11 April. Pretty dress and a little something different with the hair. I'll give it a passing grade!
- a) Visiting the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and b) arriving in Amman with added scarf, 12 April.12 April. Like the color, dubious on the stripes.
- At the Martyr Memorial Museum in Jordan, 13 April. Are the sleeves supposed to have that little flair that looks like they're just half pushed up, or are they actually just half pushed up and stuck there?
- Lunch with the King and Queen of Jordan and visiting a university, 13 April. Kind of like a pink version of that gray dress that I like, minus some frills. I wish the shoes were nude instead of an exact match, but that's a great color on a great dress.
- Last day in Jordan, 14 April. An oft-repeated outfit that I haven't changed my opinion on.
Best and Worst of the Week
It was a toss up between the evening dress and the new pink dress, but in the end the fancy hair and Jimmy Choos won out for best of the week. Worst was the navy suit, mostly because she's worn it so much in the past. And we can't forget about Queen Rania:

Week in Review: Princess Letizia, 20-26 March
Here's what Letizia wore from 20-26 March:
Photos: Getty/Zimbio/Daylife
- Vacation in London with the family. I like the hair up and back. Why don't we get to see it like that more often?
- Receiving the President of Ireland, 21 March. Ah, yes! The snakeskin shoes have returned! Along with a divine red suit. Love.
- Attending an awards ceremony, 22 March. Interesting combo here - the ruffled dress with the tweed jacket (both repeats). I think either one would be better off on its own.
- Audiences at Zarzuela Palace, 23 March. Meh. Safe.
- Visiting the Nestle factory in Girona, 25 March. I like the scarf - pink, vibrant - but I don't get it with the suit and the shoes. It's not making sartorial sense to me.
Best and Worst of the Week
Oh, this red suit is gooood. Great color (red's Letizia's color, isn't it?), perfect fit. It's professional and formal, but the detailing on the jacket and the high waist on the skirt keep it young. And the shoes! No complaints here, none. Easily the best of the week. Outfit 4, on the other hand...well, I don't really have any complaints but I don't have anything to say either. It loses the week on the basis of boredom.Photos: Getty/Zimbio/Daylife

Week in Review: Princess Letizia, 6-12 February
Here's what Princess Letizia wore the week of 6-12 February:
Photos: Zimbio/Getty/Purepeople/Abaca
- Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Prince Felipe taking his oath as Prince of Asturias, 8 February, a) outside with coat and b) inside without. I really think outfits #2 and #1 should have been swapped for formality's sake.
- Visiting the Cadena Cope radio station in Madrid, 9 February, a) outside and b) inside. Again? I seriously had to triple check and make sure this was a different event. If she wears this one again next week, I'm naming it worst no matter what else she sports, even though I like it.
- Greeting the German president and first lady, 10 February.
Best and Worst of the Week
I'm a sucker for purple. I like to think she knew she'd be featured in endless "style face-off" articles next to Bettina Wulff there, and she stepped up her regular gray just for the occasion. She didn't abandon it, no, that would have been too much to ask, but a dash of color does go a long way. The first outfit of the week, on the other hand just needed a dash of...something. A belt on the cardigan? A blazer instead? Just something to make her look less like a school teacher and more like a princess. Right?Photos: Zimbio/Getty/Purepeople/Abaca

Week in Review: Princess Letizia, 12-18 September
Here's what Princess Letizia wore the week of 12-18 September:
- Taking Leonor to the ballet, 13 September. If princesses wore uniforms, this would be Letizia's.
- Inaugurating the Historic Archive of Official Economic Chamber of Seville and attending the Second Edition of "Economic Sevillian Night" (sounds like a party, doesn't it?), 14 September. Do you like her hair like this?
- First day of school, 15 September.
- At Madrid Fashion Week, 17 September. I love this top, though I could do without the cardigan thing. (From some photos, it appeared that the back of it was made from some sort of shiny material...interesting?)
Best and Worst of the Week
As we know, Letizia loves her some scarves, but the one she wore taking the girls to school I think actually does fantastic things for this outfit. The pattern and difference in colors add something much needed to the neutral outfit. And I really like that leather jacket - this is a great mom-on-the-go outfit! Now, I feel like I should be a huge fan of outfit #2, but...something's not working. I'm glad she did something different with her hair, but I'm not sure this was the best execution. And those shoes need to be put to rest. They are absolutely the reason I had to name this my worst of the week.

Week in Review: Princess Letizia, 5-11 September
Here's what Princess Letizia wore the week of 5-11 September:
Photos: Zimbio/Getty Images Europe/Carlos Alvarez/Terra
- Attending the ballet, 5 September. This outfit again, but different shoes. I like this shirt/trouser combo, but we still need to work on the shoes.
- Inauguration of a research center, 7 September. Wow.
- Attending a concert, 8 September.
- Visiting Onda Cera Radio, 9 September. I like this suit. The shirt sort of looks like a bib when you can't see the sleeves, though.
Best and Worst of the Week
Well, I guess the concert one wins. Probably because I can't see the shoes. Normally I hate those shoes on the shorts suit, but on this occasion they might be the best thing. What we have here is the neutral uniform of a zookeeper or a safari guide. Yes, and the feet are obviously being protected from the brush by the shoes in question. As you can see, the hair has been affected by the conditions of the great wild outdoors, while the colors and floral prints are clearly donned to disguise our guide in the wild. She has cleverly brought a scarf along in case one of the animals needs distracting. Yes, that must be what's going on here. Alternately, you could also just call is a hot mess and be done with it.Photos: Zimbio/Getty Images Europe/Carlos Alvarez/Terra

Week in Review: Letizia, Princess of Asturias, 11-17 July
Here's what Princess Letizia wore the week of 11-17 July:
Photos: Terra/Daylife/Getty Images/Hola/PPE/Thorton
- Arriving in South Africa for the World Cup final, 11 July. Scarf.
- World Cup final, 11 July. More scarf.
- Welcoming the Spanish team home, 12 July. Again with the frequent repeats. I'm not saying she should never wear the same thing twice, but why wear it in exactly the same way? It's a top with trousers; wear a different top, or different trousers, or different shoes. You know, just like the rest of us make do with our limited wardrobes.
- Audiences at Zarzuela Palace, 13 July. Yikes.
- Graduation of the Spanish Military Officer School, 14 July. I'm thinking those shades are far too large for such a flat hairdo. It's kind of a bug effect, no?
- Graduation of the Spanish Naval Academy, 16 July.
Best and Worst of the Week
At her final military graduation event, Letizia got it right. This is chic and it fits her well. I could be picky and complain that we need some color, but I'm afraid that might result in something like this disastrous tunic. What's going on there? Too big, totally shapeless, and possibly the most awkward sleeve length she could have chosen. And Felipe there is just the icing on the what not to wear cake - that is one shiny suit.Photos: Terra/Daylife/Getty Images/Hola/PPE/Thorton
